BioShock’s cinematic transition and the struggles of adaptation

Quint of AintItCool sat down with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, the writer behind the BioShock movie to discuss the film’s ambitions, direction and the struggles of adapting a game into a film. The brief interview is a great peek behind the curtain at the process of writing and adapting as well as a glance at what the movie could turn in to.

Fresnadillo is the writer of the small Spanish thriller Intacto as well as horror film 28 Weeks Later and the upcoming Clive Owen film Intruders. He’s also working on an adaptation-reboot of Highlander that he also discusses in the article.
