Get ready to feel weird controlling a videogame with your face

The Kinect and Wii have both proven that gesture control is an applicable, and often popular way for people to play games. Israel-based Umoove wants to try and do the same for mobile, with a face-tracking app that lets you take control of your smartphone.

As it stands, the main showcase for the face-tracking technology is provided by a game from the company which allows you to control a character as it flies through a virtual terrain collecting potions. According to Mashableface-tracking works as advertised, but executing precise control can take a bit of practice.

For now, the game is only available on iOS, but the company has plans to release an Android version as well. Feel free to download Umoove from the Apple App Store if you’re interested in trying it out. Just make sure you have no issues nodding and swooping your head at your phone should, you happen to be in public.
