From Wired 1994: Tetris As a Pharmatronic Brain Drug
This is a great find via the fine folks at the Lethe Institute. A Wired article from 1994 on the addictive, brain-sucking effects of Tetris. This piece of color is pretty hilarious: Even spanking new, Tetris was so addictive that Pajitnov himself was instantly hooked. He laughs, “You can’t imagine. I couldn’t finish the prototype! I started to play and never had time to finish the code. People kept playing, playing, playing. My best friend said, ‘I can’t live with your Tetris anymore.’” Read the rest here.
