Dikembe Mutombo‘s 4 1/2 Weeks to Save the World is the timeless story of the retired Congolese NBA center’s quest to prevent the Mayan prophecy of a Dec 21 apocalypse from happening, at the behest of a hyper-intelligent English bear in a Fair Isle sweater. Along the way you take off in a rocketship in the shape of Mutombo’s head, save an American population terminally distracted by Gangnam Style, and have a boss fight against the state of Ohio.

The browser game is brought to you by Old Spice, they of the surreal Isaiah Mustafa ads, and frankly, who cares who made this game as it made me laugh outloud for about twenty minutes. There are so many touches to admire, from the Monkey-Island art to the cursor which is a pixelated version of Mutombo’s famously-wagging pointer finger. Enjoy.
