Gamasutra reports that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has made one billion dollars. The game launched two weeks ago. The company released a statement saying:
Call of Duty as an entertainment franchise has made an indelible mark on popular culture and its broad and continued success is further validation that audiences are now valuing interactive experiences over passive experiences.
In other news, the success of Modern Warfare 3 proves the continued truth of the Social Network adage, ”A million dollars isn’t cool. You know what’s cool? A billion dollars.”
