Videogame music composers fear the day computers become inspired

It’s common territory for sci-fi writers: what happens when computers finally learn to feel? A panel of industry professionals, including composer Mike Reagan (God of War), met at California bookstore Dark Delicacies to discuss the future of videogame composers, and what changes in technology might mean for videogame music:

“Music is math and inspiration at its most basic level. When computers have the ability to be inspired, we have a much, much bigger problem on our hands,” he said to laughs from the the crowd. The event last weekend came on the heels of the E3 gaming convention in downtown L.A.
