The Love Punks browser-game is a psychedelic romp through the Outback

When Sissy’s Magical Ponycorn Adventure was released last year to much awe and adoration, it proved that kids could make computer games— really awesome, weird computer games.

Enter: The Love Punks, a group of 7-13 year olds from Roebourne in Western Australia who, with the help of Yijala Yala Project, have made an eponymous computer game, as well as short films, comics and music. The Love Punks is a browser-based game and a short ride, but a weird and wonderful one. Travel through the Outback as envisioned by The Love Punks, where you will encounter mischievous friends, activate floating, animation-triggering gems and throw exploding hearts at zombies. Oh, and be sure not to step on any lizards or you’ll get an electric shock.
