Curious how likely you are to enjoy your commute on the NYC subway system? Thanks to the New York Times’ Hack Day, there’s an app for that.
HappyStance is an app that took a data set comprised of tens of thousands of tweets, and parsed them for proximity to New York City subway stations and for two emoticons – the ubiquitous smiley, 🙂 , and frown-y, 🙁 … Ultimately, HappyStance showed where people were having the best experience among the many NYC subway lines and stations.
