This past weekend, contestants streamed into Groupon’s SF offices for the annual Drone Games. (They were formerly called the Drone Olympics, but apparently received a cease and desist of from the actual Olympic Committee.) In a sign of the brave new world to come in our drone-infested future, James Halliday took first place for a drone that infected other drones and caused them to descend into chaos. This is a bit like winning the 100 meter dash against Usain Bolt by turning the other racers against him. Actually, that’s a great idea.
Above, some of the other contestants.
