Nintendo announces a bigger, (questionably) better 3DS

Nintendo announced yesterday that they will be introducing a second-generation 3DS to the market this summer. Like the DSi XL before it, the 3DS XL will feature larger screens (90% larger for both top and bottom screens) as well as an extended battery life. This will be ideal for those craving a better view and more play-time, however, it looks as though Circle Pad Pro fans may be disappointed: It remains to be announced whether Nintendo will be creating an updated Circle Pad Pro to fit the larger 3DS. Those of us who love our extra in-game camera controls may well be out of luck.
