Our developer made a beautiful and haunting adventure game, Kentucky Route Zero

…a magical realist adventure game about a secret highway in the caves beneath Kentucky, and the mysterious folks who travel it. Gameplay is inspired by point-and-click adventure games (like the classic Monkey Island or King’s Quest series, or more recently Telltale’s Walking Dead series), but focused on characterization, atmosphere and storytelling rather than clever puzzles or challenges of skill.

It’s moody and dark, unlike Jake, who’s a real peach, but also fascinating, like Jake, who’s fascinating. We’re living in a new golden age of point and click adventure, and it’s projects like Kentucky Route Zero that make it obvious why: just two talented and hard-working guys can make something incredibly gorgeous and personal.
