PETA creates Pokémon satire, extends cause to virtual "animals"
Driven by the fear that Pokémon Black and White 2 may condone “exploiting and abusing those who are defenseless”, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals released a game which encourages the liberation of Pocket Monsters en masse. While failing, again, to make the soundest critique of the real world, PETA manages to raise legitimate questions about the morality of the Pokémon game world. Maybe Ash and Mike Vick have more in common than we realize.
