At this point, receiving backing from the folks at the Indie Fund is a bit of a Midas Touch as their track record reads quite well: Monaco, Anti-Chamber, Dear Esther, and now one more recently-announced: Nova-111.

The creators of Nova-111, Funktronic Labs, are not a George Clinton side project, but the brainchild of kalin and Eddie Lee who met in Tokyo. Both worked on the famed Pixeljunk franchise and the style is clearly on display with what they’re calling a “real-time/turn-based time-vortex.” Not sure what that means exactly but if it has anything to do with Neil deGrasse Tyson’s Cosmos idea that everything that is happening has already happened…then count us in.
