Battlefield Bad Company 2 brings the battle to Somalian Hunger Relief

Over a third of Somalia’s population—that is, roughly 3.7 million people—are at risk of starvation because of consistently poor harvests due to lack of rain.

Enter First Person Saviors, the combined effort of Don’t Revive Me Bro, Quantic Media, and Battlefieldo, a charity effort aimed at Somalian hunger relief through donations…from Battlefield Bad Company 2 players. The event will be running servers until September 2nd, and donations will be taken through charity organization GamersOutreach. 100% of the proceeds will then be passed to the World Food Programme

While the name of the game is charity, players can donate as much or as little as they like. However, for every set donation goal reached ($100, $500, $1000 and every $500 thereafter), First Person Saviors will be raffling off giveaways and prizes from  EA / DICE, Gunnar Optiks, ASTRO Gaming, Beyond Gaming, Spirit Hoods and more.

Raise awareness, donate, or just come and play. Either way, you’re fighting the good fight!
