Control the Imperial thumb in Caesar’s Day Off

The rules of Indie Speed Run are simple: “Make a playable game in only 48 hours. Face judgment by industry professionals and your peers. Win loot.”

Caesar’s Day Off, created by Benedikt Hummel, Marius Fietzek and Sabrina Winter for, is also simple. You play as the Roman Emperor, and you can do two things: give a thumbs up and give a thumbs down. It’s also hilarious, wonderfully drawn and animated, and only a minute long. It’s got the same charm and tone as a short before a full Pixar feature; here’s hoping these three get a little longer than 48 hours to make their next one.

I won’t ruin anything else about the game for you; this is major lunch break material.
