"I was kept with zombies." A South African musician returns from the dead.

In a story that seems to be from the fictional world of Resident Evil, a man claiming to be the dead Khulekani Kwakhe “Mgqumeni” Mseleku, a famous African Zulu musician, has emerged at the artist’s home near Dundee. His explanation: Zombies.

According to Times Live:

Mgqumeni… apparently died in December 2009 after drinking a poisonous concoction he got from a traditional healer…

“I have been suffering a lot at the place where I was kept with zombies. It was hell there and I am so grateful that I was able to free myself and return to my family and you, my supporters. I promise to continue singing once I gather enough strength,” he said.

Mgqumeni claimed that he was not dead but had been kept with zombies in a place he cannot remember.

For good reason, many are doubting the legitimacy of the Zombie Mgpumeni, who was arrested and will stand trial for fraud.

Mgqumeni’s cousin, Nelisani Mseleku, said the sudden “resurrection” of the singer was a well-orchestrated plan to “steal his wealth”.

His grandmother, on the other hand, claims that the man is in fact Mgqumeni.

I can’t wait to hear how this shakes out.
