Imagining Monty Python’s Holy Grail, the videogame

Sick of Guild Wars 2 yet? Tired of MMO after MMO which just rehashes the same old thing? Maybe it’s time the mold was broken. Erik Kain’s Monty Python and the Holy Grail MMO may do the trick. Here are a few selections from he laid out in exquisite detail earlier this year:

Knight (class)

Knights are strong, heavily-armored, and not terribly bright. Armed with sword and shield, Knights are the tanks of Monty Python’s Holy Grail: The Game. Not known for brilliant tactics, they nevertheless make up for this by being extremely bloodthirsty. Occasionally a Knight will suffer from Cowardice, causing them to bravely turn their tail and run during encounters with monsters. Bloodlust also sometimes afflicts Knights, causing them to slaughter peasants without mercy. (Lawful Good)

God (quest giver)

All quests would be handed down by the big guy in the sky. But don’t ask too many questions. Unlike most RPGs which require you to pester NPCs with endless queries, this quest-master is an impatient deity with a habit of smiting people.

Mounts

Naturally there would be no mounts in the game, but you would have the ability to get better Squires and more resonant Coconuts.

It only gets better from there. You can read the whole thing at Forbes
