Is the PC on its deathbed?

The PC’s position at the foreground of game development has been in question for some time now, as legends of game development such as John Carmack even admit that they’re no longer the “leading platform for games.” 

A recent post from Business Insider makes the situation look even more dire. PCs, they argue, are “dying a slow, painful death” as Macs and mobile devices are thriving in their perceived absence. While things like the new Ultrabooks from Intel wowed CES attendees last week, it will be interesting to see how the former stalwart of gaming will fare in the coming months and years.
