Foundd, a new Berlin-based media recommendation service, just launched this week. Rather than focusing solely on mathematical predictions, unlike Netflix’s recommendations, Foundd looks at the bigger picture and makes broad strokes with its suggestions, including content from multiple content providers. Its unique feature is that it helps you choose a movie that fits the preferences of you and your friends.

The service is obviously still in the early stages of development, but its website promises to implement the same recommendation system for books, music, TV shows, video clips, and games.
