Augmenting reality, whether it’s through portals, free running, or controlling gravity, is a videogame specialty. A group of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute students take advantage of the thrill of speed in their skating game, Zineth. Their trailer makes all the skating look easy, but there is a technique to it. Luckily, the ability to rewind a short amount of time makes precision jumps a little less frustrating. The thrill of skating, along with the in-game cell phone interface system makes it a surprisingly deep student project.
