We’re hiring a new Managing Editor.

For the past two years, Ryan Kuo has been our wonderful managing editor. Before that, he helped us put issue 1 to bed way back when. Now, he’s headed to MIT to pursue a Master of Science in Art, Culture and Technology. We wish him well and he’ll be posting a farewell note later.

But in the interim, we’re looking for a new managing editor. Think you’ve got what it takes? The listing is below and you can apply here.

_______

Kill Screen is looking for a dynamic, thoughtful, and entrepreneurial ME to guide the direction of its content — digital, print and beyond. (Outer space, perhaps?)

So what are we looking for? You are an experienced editor with a future-forward approach. We don’t want someone to take us where we’ve been; tell us where we should be going! You are a versatile writer and reporter who dances between the serious and the odd. You’re a diligent copyeditor and proofreader who will tweak and prod with joy.

You’ll be running our editorial ship. You’ll be writing, editing, and playing daily. You’re at home with creative culture of all kinds (not just games)—from art to music to architecture to technology—and know how to spot the connections between them.

While one need not be currently living in NYC to apply, this job is located in our Lower East Side office.
