The long-awaited (and often delayed) Oculus Touch controllers will finally be released this Tuesday, December 6th. Oculus waited up until the last minute to announce the controllers’ launch line-up this week, but it’s here… all 53 of them.
Included in the launch line-up are some familiar titles that have either been updated with Touch support, or have graced HTC Vive, the Playstation VR, or other platforms in the past. Others are new experiences to unfold, exclusive to the Oculus Rift in particular. Including Oculus’ own illustration tool Quill, from Oculus Story Studio, and its sculpting and painting program Medium, which is sure to spawn just as many breathtaking creations as HTC Vive’s painting tool Tilt Brush has.
All Oculus Touch preorders will come with Insomniac Games’ magic-driven The Unspoken and Sanzaru Games’ perfectly named VR Sports Challenge. In addition, Oculus Touch sales will be bundled with copies of Quill and Medium. Plus Toybox, an interactive social game from Oculus, will be available for free download on the Oculus Store on launch day.
But 53 is a lot of games and apps, so be careful not to injure your wrists or something. Then you wouldn’t be able to craft your next masterpiece in Quill or Medium, or even shoot a zombie in any of the dozen zombie games on this list.
