In case you missed it, The Art of Video Games, a Smithsonian exhibition, is a month away. The exhibition installation is underway ad progress is viewable Flickr.

The exhibition focuses on the interplay of graphics, technology and storytelling through some of the best games for twenty gaming systems ranging from the Atari VCS to the PlayStation 3.

The Art of Video Games received some skepticism last year, most notably for using a voting process to choose the games on display and only featuring five playable games. Opinions aside, the exhibition is one to follow as it adds to the ongoing relationship between videogames and museums.
